The hospitality at this hotel was outstanding. the hosts were welcoming and gave us great recommendations for exploring the nearby hiking trails and bridge. the breakfast provided was simple but delicious, with fresh bread rolls delivered each morning. the location was perfect for our needs, as it was close to the trailhead and there was a lovely restaurant nearby.
The language barrier was a small inconvenience, as the owners did not speak English. they provided written instructions in multiple languages, which helped us navigate our stay.

Our stay at Casa De Vilarinho was exceptional. The staff warmly welcomed us for a late check-in and the house was sparkling clean. The comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep before our adventure at Passadiços Paiva. Waking up to the sounds of nature in the mountains was truly priceless. Being just 2km away from the entrance of Passadiços was a huge advantage. Despite the language barrier with the owner, she was friendly and kind. The value for money was great and the simple breakfast was satisfactory. I highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and comfortable stay in Arouca.

Perfect location for exploring the Paiva Walkway and Arouca surroundings. The hosts were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. Freshly baked bread rolls every morning were a lovely touch. The room was cozy and kept very clean. Absolutely loved the picturesque and peaceful setting of the accommodation.
The lack of English-speaking staff made communication difficult at times but the hosts tried their best to help us. , the nearest shop was quite a distance away so it's best to bring your own groceries.

The hospitality at this place is absolutely incredible! The hosts are so lovely, genuine, and generous. They provide an amazing breakfast spread with fresh bread, homemade cake, and a variety of snacks. They also offer great advice on local attractions and even provide transfers. The location is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature, and there's even a bus stop right outside. The tap water is better than bottled water, and they are accommodating with any requests. Plus, the option to cook and use the entire house is a big bonus. Lastly, there's a nice restaurant nearby serving delicious Portuguese food. Such a fantastic experience!

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by stunning nature, this accommodation offers beautiful surroundings by the mountains and down the hill, and is a short drive to the Arouca bridge. Rooms are sparkling clean with top comfort beds and some offer mountain views. the hosts are friendly and helpful, with homemade cakes and great breakfast. For adventure-seekers, it's just a few minutes' drive to the Areinho parking for Passadiços de Paiva. the only downside is the lack of a local shop, so bring your own provisions.
